課程概述 |
This semester the class will be collaborating with the Palau High School (PHS) to conduct a two-week educational service to the PHS students. The service will include teaching regular classes in math and physics, as well as an inquiry-based course. With the guidance of PHS teachers, the CTE students will design, develop, and implement these two types of courses. |

課程目標 |
The goal of this class is to develop students’ ability to teach internationally and think globally, specifically, in the areas of communication, culture, lesson design, and teaching. 1) Communication: Students need to improve their English reading, listening, and speaking ability so they could teach classes in English. 2) Culture: Students would also need to develop an understanding about Palau, Palau education, Palau teachers, and Palauan students. 3)Lesson design: Students would need to understand Palau high school curriculum, as well as the methods and material in the lesson design. 4) Teaching: Students would develop a lesson plan and material for the unit of their teaching and teach the class. |
